R Energy1 was established in July 2011 by the younger generation of the Rokas Group, and since then constructs and operates renewable energy sources facilities focusing in solar and wind energy. In Dec 2022, the operations of R Energy 1 were transferred to R Energy1 Holdings, which since then became the parent company of the Group.
Since its inception, the Group has created a strong development platform in Greece, with a portfolio of photovoltaic and wind farms situated on strategic (high-irradiation) locations around Greece, in areas such as Corinth, Zakynthos, Thiva, Larissa, Magnesia, Viotia and Kozani, with the largest solar park in operation in Stefani-Corinth of 10 MW installed capacity, while in parallel it is constructing a Wind Park complex with a total capacity of 16.4 MW.
During the past eleven years the Group has implemented an investment plan amounting to around €60 million, with the total installed capacity of the Group standing at around 44 MW, encompassing 80 PV parks in operation.
The growth of R Energy 1 Holdings continues smoothly, and its investment program is evolving at an intensive pace. The Group’s goal is for the total installed capacity to exceed 400 MW by the end of 2027. In this context, new wind and photovoltaic parks projects with a total capacity of approximately 350 MW are being developed and designed, of which more than 200 MW are in the final stage of development. In the field of Energy Storage, the group – through its subsidiaries – is expected to play an important role with the projects it develops.
